Not too distant time ago, Malaysia's PM Abdullah wanted Malaysia to venture into the film industry in a big way as he sees potential in this direction. Little did he know, his wish materialises into a Hollywood action-packed high profile drama, tinkled with outrageous sex (male-male, mind you) revelations and accusations with bits of Bollywood twists and turns that might outdo the Bourne Ultimatum series.
Lies and accusations fly like nobody's business and they revolve around the highest ranking officials. The country's highest politicians are up against each other. It is either they are doing it just to get to the highest post of the country or they are sincerely doing it for the welfare of their beloved country and countrymen.
The head of the police force (IGP) and the Attorney-General has been accused in a plot of fabricating evidence against the second highest ranking politician (Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister) of that time.
An interpreter, a beautiful model, from a foreign country has been blown to bits and pieces using explosives only the military has access to, and her records of entry into Malaysia has been deleted from the immigration records.
The plot has not come to the scene whereby the military or the Defence Ministry come up with an explanation as to how its C4 explosives has come to being used. The Immigration and the Home Ministry (under which it is supposed to be answerable) has not and is not able to fabricate an explanation as to how immigration records could be so easily erased, especially after a person has been blown up and out from the surface of this world. The Defence and the Home Ministers are still sitting comfortably in their chairs.
The drama has now come to new stage where new 'old evidence' were produced and created shockwaves throughout the country and it 'checkmated Najib'. However, the checkmate move was retracted within 24 hours as it was done under 'duress'. Wow, no more checkmate.
Come Sunday, people's power might be employed. Those viewers following the drama could feel their emotions travelling on a roller coaster. And of course there is more coming. More proof, more arrests, more accusation and more defence.
Amidst the lies and accusations, there is the TRUTH. I saw a cartoon in Dr Rafick's blog
(http://rights2write.wordpress.com/) that indicates that people prefer to go for a reassuring lie than an inconvenient truth.
One in fact sometimes has to be brave enough to face a truth. To tell the truth, one has to be more than brave, one has to be courageous. There are of course certain professions whereby the employees are sworn to secrecy, however there is still a cry in their hearts and conscience to come out and tell the truth. This is necessary for the welfare of the country as a whole, for both short term but especially long term benefit.
The short-term effect will result in a climax to this whole series of events, but most importantly it will turn a new page quickly for the country to move on forward positively.
The long term benefit is of course the country do not want unscrupulous, selfish, corrupt dishonest, lying people to lead them.
Let's all turn inwards to our hearts and to our God. Wish and pray for the truth.
May all beings be calm and peaceful. May we be brave enough to fear God.
