Impossible for Anwar to form govt by Sept 16 - Tengku Adnan

Datuk Seri Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor, the secretary-general of Umno said that the party will be cooperating with the ACA (Anti Corruption Agency) to ensure that there are no corruption in the coming party elections. He said that the party will allow the ACA to conduct investigations in which the Disciplinary Board will then take actions. "This is what we will do because they don't have the tools and mechanism to check on where this fellow get the money. Say one gets a sponsor to contest against this fellow, then gives out money. When he wins, he will become a puppet. We will bring matters such as not having enough quorom and preventing members from entering meeting venue to the Management Committee for decision. A committee has been set up at the headquarters to run through all these. We will leave it to the Management Committee to decide. If a new meeting is necessary, it call a new meeting and if a division or branch has to be suspended, it will issue the ruling,"

He then commented on the latest claim by Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, the advisor of Parti Keadilan Rakyat that the opposition front Pakatan Rakyat will form the federal government by September 16. He said “He is confusing everybody. He is trying to divert people's attention from the crime he allegedly committed to the takeover of the government. I don't believe that they can take over the government on Sept 16. We got 140 members of Parliament with us. By right, we should look for another eight so that we will have two third majority. But he, to form a govt, needs at least 30. Is it easy for him to do it? It is impossible,”

No good! ACA investigate and ACA take actions, not UMNO. Corruption is a crime. What can UMNO do? CAN UMNO send the persons involved to jail?

Good point!
ACA should be an independent entity with the power to act without fear or favour AND with no political connection!
