Cops advise PKR not to hold rally
By DHARMENDER SINGH
SHAH ALAM: Police have advised PKR against holding the rally in Petaling Jaya on Sunday to protest the fuel hike.
Selangor police chief ACP Datuk Khalid Abu Bakar said he met Mentri Besar Tan Sri Khalid Ibrahim two days ago to advise him against holding the gathering at Padang Timur, opposite Amcorp Mall in Petaling Jaya on Sunday.
He said that PKR had not applied for any permit to hold the gathering and that the police feel it will cause a disturbance to pedestrians and motorists alike.
He also advised the state PKR to instead hold the gathering at the Stadium Melawati in Shah Alam.
