Raja Petra Kamarudin has been asked to report to the Commercial Crime Division of Bukit Aman at 10.00am on Thursday, 4 September 2008. This is at the Prime Minister’s old office in Bukit Perdana, behind Bank Negara.

On Thursday, 21 August 2008, the police raided Raja Petra’s house and confiscated his notebook computer, a scanner and some documents. (See: Raja Petra's house raided by the police today: http://mt.m2day.org/2008/content/view/11631/84/ ). At 6.00pm on Tuesday, 26 August 2008, the day of the Permatang Pauh by-election, the government blocked all access to Malaysia Today on the excuse that Raja Petra had insulted Islam in a 16 January 2008 article. (See: The 'offending' article that got MT blocked: http://mt.m2day.org/2008/content/view/11952/84/ ).

According to the police, they are investigating how the doctor’s medical report from Pusrawi plus the subsequent Statutory Declaration got leaked. This medical report and Statutory Declaration is in relation to the sodomy allegation against Anwar Ibrahim. The doctor who examined Saiful, the young man Anwar is alleged to have sodomised, said he found no evidence of such a crime. Nevertheless, the police still arrested and charged Anwar in spite of this.
