Kah Choon rules out switch to Pakatan Rakyat
GEORGE TOWN: Former Gerakan deputy secretary-general Datuk Lee Kah Choon has ruled out the possibility of crossing over to Pakatan Rakyat.
He said he would disseminate information about Penang to businesses.
"I am just a businessman. I will not join any Pakatan Rakyat parties. My political career is over now," he said yesterday.
He was asked to comment on rumours that he would join the DAP or even Parti Keadilan Rakyat after resigning from Gerakan last month.
He created an uproar when he accepted the appointments to the two state government agencies.
His action was criticised by Barisan Nasional leaders, including Gerakan adviser Datuk Seri Dr Lim Keng Yaik and its acting president Tan Sri Dr Koh Tsu Koon.
A show-cause letter was issued to Lee following his decision to accept the posts. He then resigned from Gerakan.
Lee was in Komtar yesterday when he accompanied Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office director Lam Kam Kwong on a tour of the area after the latter paid a courtesy call on Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng.
