Fools rush in: Start a blog with hundreds of hate comments instantly

First, UMNO, THE largest race-based political party in Malaysia, was reported to have REQUIRED candidates to blog.

So, the Chief Minister of Malacca and a VP of Umno, Mohd. Ali Mohd. Rustam, made his own blog here. It was such a success that for one of his posts, Pig breeding farms--an Electorial Prize, attracted untold pageviews and 365 comments that he promptly deleted the post, shut down the commenting mechanism and rejected further comments.

Nope, he was not trying to save Google's bandwidth. He was probably unprepared for the deluge of unfavorable comments to his post. His attempt to stir feelings and emotions among the people he thought would be outraged by the subject matter failed, and he was informed of it instantly, unreservedly, definitely and en-masse. That's the power of the Internet hitting back at hime with full force.

The point of this blog? I'm highlighting my worry. The people who are desynchronized from the reality are not only civil se... like Andrew Teo of "Taxi Driver **** Off" fame, but also the top echelons of politicians in a country so near to us.
