PEKAN, MALAYSIA: A National Service trainee was allegedly assaulted by eight fellow trainees at the Tasik Chini camp here on Thursday.
The 17-year-old victim was allegedly attacked by the trainees in his dormitory about 11.40pm, leaving him with swellings and bruises all over his body. He was given outpatient treatment at the Pekan Hospital.
It is understood he was attacked for reporting the trainees' failure to attend a morning exercise session.
Police had recorded statements from the eight boys to facilitate investigations.
